Ten years ago today Ron and I were married in Lancaster, Ohio. To say ten years it seems so long and so much has happened in the past ten years. I am proud to say I am more in love with Ron today than I was ten years ago.
I remember our wedding day. I remember being so excited (after a long engagement) for the day to finally have arrived. I remember so much of what Pastor Mel said on that day. I remember him talking about the rings and how they were made in a circle, the design to tell us that our love must never come to an end; we must keep it continuous. He talked about how love is not cheap or common, but a precious thing that may cost us dearly. I remember how Ron got choked up (only a little) when he said, "from this day forward, for better, or for worse...". I remember taking communion for the first time together. I remember standing before our family and friends as Mrs. Ron Adkins.
So many memories of that day 10 years ago. So many many memories of the last 10 years and so many things to look forward to in the next 10. Today I'm praising the Lord for the Godly man He has given me.
There have been good times and bad, rich times and poor, sickness and health and through it all Jesus has been at the foundation of our marriage. He has been the core. He will remain the center of all we do as a couple and a family. Praise the Lord!
I love you Ron Adkins and I'm so proud to be your wife of ten years!
