Toddlers and Homeschool

I've mentioned before how Maddie and Eli are buddies. While I am so glad that they are, it does make homeschooling Eli a little challenging!

I tried to set Maddie up with her own coloring book and crayons and her very own table to use while we were busy with school work, but she inevitable found her way back to the table with us! I didn't want to ban her from the room, because honestly she is picking up things and learning with Eli and I don't want to get in the way of that, but I had to find something to keep her occupied.

So I decided she needed her own "School Box".

I filled the box with all kinds of stuff to keep her occupied.

So excited!

Even Ronnie thought she was a "lucky dog"

(not sure what that means, but he was a little jealous of her box)!

Maddie has done pretty good with the box. She can only have it during school time, so that makes it all the more appealing! She still has her moments of being more interested in what Eli is doing, but for the most part, the School Box has helped!

That's a great solution you've found! Reni is the same - always wanting to be in the middle of the action with Ellie's learning but she just can't tune him out. I can't wait for the day when they can learn together!
