Work Day

Today was a perfect day for outdoor work! Beautiful clear blue skies with the high in the low 80's! Perfect! The boys had several projects that they hoped to get completed today!

They began with a repair job. Our sweet widow neighbor owns this garage and as it turns out our not so innocent boys had put a hole in the siding. So today they fixed it. It turned out to be a much bigger job than Daddy had hoped, but they were able to complete it!

Next was the fence around the garden, it needed to come down. With such a nice day it was perfect for cleaning up the garden. Honestly it was not the best year for our garden. We put it in late (not knowing if we would be around or not). Finally at the last moment we planted and just decided we would get what we could and the Pastor who followed us could have the rest! Well that fact coupled with the very dry summer - was not a good combination.

The boys tried to find potatoes...but it was a very disappointing harvest!

Maddie kept herself busy too!
I love seeing my guys hard at work!

"Wait, I think I see one."

Really it was that bad. What we did get was so small that I will probably just can them all! No Baked Potatoes for now.

Earlier this summer we got some summer squash that Ronnie was pretty proud of - that is one thing that really did well this year! We had lots of huge summer squash.

Maddie continued to entertain herself while her brothers worked away.

But finally...it was time for catch!

It's amazing where all that energy comes from, especially after a long day of work.

When it comes down too it! It's been a long day and everyone is worn out. There shouldn't be any trouble sleeping tonight!
