Friends Forever

There is an old Michael W. Smith song entitled, "Friends Forever". The song is one my sister and I have sung many times. It's a great song that talks about how if you are Friends in Christ then you will be Friends Forever.

These girls are that type of Friends! Heidi and Amber Smith came for a quick visit on Sunday.

When my dad pastor at West Independence UMC many years ago (I was maybe 7), we met Heidi and Amber. Their family attended the church and my sister and I were close in age with these 2 sisters. We hit it off. In all actuality, we were only at West Independence for 1 year before moving to Georgia, but we have remained Forever Friends.

The 4 of us have been on Missions trips together and both of these girls were bridesmaids in my wedding! Great Christian girls that I love to spend time with. So when we discovered they would be "home" and only a little over an hour away, they decided to come over.

The fun thing is that even when it has been several years since we have seen each other, we are always able to pick right back up where we left off!

And now they enjoy my kids too!

Here they are looking at pictures of our family.

Amber works at a big firm in Columbus and is a number cruncher. She works in Tax Law (very intimidating)! Heidi is a Children's Librarian and lives now in South Carolina. Here Heidi reads to Maddie!

I'm so thankful for these 2 girls and for their friendship!

Thanks Heidi and Amber for being Forever Friends!
