School Musical

Last night was the boys Christmas Musical. Ronnie was still home from school yesterday so he didn't get to go (if you know his personality at all, I don't have to tell you he was not very disappointed). Nathaniel participated though and did great.

The Musical was, "A King is Coming to Town". It was a very cute and funny performance. The summary of it is that this town of "Rumorsville" in the 50's is all abuzz because someone has hung a sign that a King is coming. They speculate as to what king (Elvis, King Tut, the King of the Jungle) and finally 2 kids tell the story of Jesus birth and tell how the King is already here. It was great. A great message and a great performance.

I was so proud of Nathaniel. There were motions to every song and he knew all of them and the music. He got a little distracted when the big Gorilla came out as the King of the Jungle (but most of the kids did). Eli said he liked it except for the scary monster (the Gorilla). In all honesty I thought the Kindergarten class stole the show!
Above Devan and Nathaniel pose in front of the sign.
Remember I said the setting was the 50's. The girls wore poodle skirts and the boys white t-shirts and rolled jeans!
It was the Elementary that put on the Musical, with the 5th and 6th graders doing the speaking parts.
Above Nathaniel is pictured with 2 of his classmates (front) and the 1st and 2nd graders (minus more than just Ronnie due to sickness).
