Banquet

Saturday evening we held a fund raising banquet in Sherwood. The picture below was taken just minutes before it began, and was honestly to show Ron's mom what we decided to do to decorate the tables. We had several compliments that they looked nice!

Anyway, we had 76 people respond that they would be coming on Saturday evening and let me just say that Saturday was a rough day for Ron and I. We are struggling with this whole fund raising thing! It's hard! Then on top of that we got a call Saturday morning,ight before we were ready to walk out the door to set up for the banquet,that my Grandpa Hornish had passed away (I'll post more on that later). Anyway, it was a long day!

We think the banquet went well. We heard a lot of positive things. Ron and I really wanted our church people to catch a vision for what we are doing and what the Lord is calling us to. We heard positive comments on Sunday that revealed that the Lord answered that prayer in at least some parishioners! We are thankful for that.

Additionally, we got lots of positive comments on the boys singing! They sang and signed, "How Great is Our God" and from this mommas perspective did a great job!
