It is once again Wilmore Week around here. Yes it is early (not the typical 2nd week), but Ron planned to make the December trip a week earlier so that the library would be available and not worry about finals and such at the Seminary!
However, it is also Tuesday! Ron was called on Friday afternoon to go with one of our parishioners to the hospice center to visit a neighbor and friend. He went and was holding the hand of this 75 year old man as he passed only moments after their arrival. Ron was asked to do the funeral services and that is not until tonight.
So...Wilmore Week is beginning, just not as we had originally planned. Ron will leave tonight after the funeral and return home on Saturday morning, as usual! Please pray for his safety and protection, especially traveling so late tonight.
The kids and I had made plans for today as well. My sisters family is in Marion Indiana with my mom and dad this week and we made plans to visit and meet those twins! We decided that with Ron leaving tonight anyway, I will still plan to pick up the boys from school and head south to Marion!
We would appreciate your prayers as we all scatter tonight and remain apart until Saturday. These are difficult days in our home and yet they are days of obedience and we continue to trust the Lord's leading!
