Final Day of 2014-2015

Last week, Wednesday, was the kids final day!  Maddie was not ready for it to end, but the boys are excited about summer!

Ronnie Lee will be a 7th grader next fall - completed his first year of Middle school with no problems, in fact he was on the Honor Roll the whole year!  Love this guy and the man he is becoming!

Nathaniel made the Honor Rolls this semester!  He also "graduated" out of Elementary!

Next year will be his first in Middle School.  He is young - only 10 - he started school early.  This year was the first that we noticed it might not have been good, but honestly, he buckled down and finished strong.  He is just going to have to develop some study habits and worry less about sports and more about studies!  I know he can do it!  Ron and I were so proud that he got on the A/B Honor Roll to end the year!
He was pretty proud too!

Then there is Eli!  He will be entering 3rd next year!  Wow, he's growing up!   He had a difficult start to the year, but straightened it out early on and has enjoyed his 2nd grade year.  He is becoming quite the reader and loving it.  The picture below was taken the last day of school during the talent show, right before he performed!  He played Joyful Joyful on the piano!  (Grandparents, I have the video, but for some reason can't get it downloaded to the blog - I can show you).  SO proud of this little man!

Maddie Anne had a Fantastic First Year of school!  Hard to believe she will be entering 1st grade next year!  She won the top reading award for Kindergarten by getting over 100 AR points!  She loved her fist year teacher, Miss Keil.  And now states that she wants to be a Kindergarten teacher when she grows up!  Super proud of her first year accomplishments!

All 4 of my babies had a good academic year!

Memorial Day

Yesterday was Memorial Day!  In the day that we are in, it is important for me to say - I'm proud to be an American!  Proud of those who have sacrificed so much for my freedom.  Hopefully we are teaching the kids to be proud as well!  We had a fun time at the Ney Memorial Day Service!

Mr. Elmer is a WWII vet and had mentioned in church Sunday that he was planning to wear his uniform to the Ney Memorial day Service!  He looked sharp - when I told him that, he showed me that the coat wouldn't button.  :)  I'm honored to know him and so appreciate his service - for me, my family and our country!

Maddie Anne

I'm behind on my posting, so I'll try to put a lot into one.  Maddie has been busy lately.  Last week I got to go with her to Camp Lakota for a field trip!

Then today Maddie finished her last day of Kindergarten and brought a couple of friends home from school with her (Sammy and Marissa)

It doesn't seem possible that my baby is finished with Kindergarten!  She has had a great first year of school and is looking forward to next year - she secretly wishes there was no time off :)

Girls Night Out

Last night we had our annual Girls Night Out with the Farmer/Ney United Methodist Ladies!
The theme was "Let God put a Spring in your Step"!

We had different people decorate tables with spring themes, Gardening, Birdhouses, Daisies, Bee's, Ladybugs, Butterflies, Flowers - it was fun to see all the different tables!

Unfortunately, I only got pictures of the ducks!

My mom was able to join us this year too!  We had a fun evening!

First Music Program

Last week Maddie had her first Grandparents Day and School Music Program!

My parents were able to come and met her later at school for the morning program!

The rest of us went to the evening program!  She did great!

She was excited to have her friends Sammy and Marissa nearby too!

Here they are, Marissa, Maddie and Sammy - self titled M&M'S

2015 Baseball underway

Opening Day was Saturday.  Last night was Ronnie and Nathaniel's first game and first win.  Eli is scheduled to play tonight, but not sure yet if the weather will cooperate!

Here are a few quick pictures as we start off the 2015 Season!

Here they are - the 2015 crew!  Eli is wearing his Bat Boy 0.5 shirt in this one, but he is also on a team.

Ronnie Lee III

Nathaniel Blake - Mr. Cool!

Little Man, Eli - ready for Opening Day

Most of the kids on our 2 teams are from either Farmer or Ney!  8 on the Pee Wee Team and 5 from the Little League Team!

Pee Wee Adkins Team picture.  Eli is the front right and Daddy is the coach on the left!

Little League Team Adkins - Ronnie and Nathaniel are back row 2nd and 3rd.  Bat boy is middle row and Daddy on the left behind team!

Not a good picture at all - I promised I'll do better, but here is our starting pitcher.  This little man (Ronnie) has some power!

Nathaniel up to bat in the 4th.  This is right before he swung (too quick) and got his first Home run!

Had a fun time last night and hopefully another game tonight.
Love watching my boys play!

Still Celebrating

We continued to celebrate Maddie's 6th birthday and will have one more "celebration" when my parents come this week!

It was nearly 7pm before we were able to celebrate together with dinner, cake and presents, but she waited ...mostly patiently!

She had asked for an ice cream cake, which made it easy on me!

I love that all 3 brothers got her something!  She was super excited about Ronnie's as he gave her a scavenger hunt to go on to find her gift.  She had to look first where the musical instrument books are kept (piano bench), then where she "cleans up" every night (bathroom), then finally to where the boys keep their Sunday clothes (their closet).  She loved it and then she got an M&M machine that Ronnie had made in his woodworking class!

She was also pretty excited about her very own "big girl" Bible!

Then on Saturday she got another celebration when Ron's parents came.  She even got a gift from Uncle Ryan and Morgan.  A leather purse that they had made together!  I loved it and Maddie was pretty excited too!

Then a doll that looks just like her - but she named her Abby!

I'm sure there will be more celebrating when my parents come this week.  We have had a good few days of celebrating this 6 year old!

Can't believe she is getting so big!
