Saying Good-Bye

Today we met my sister and her girls for one last lunch and to say good-bye!  They leave for Scotland on August 9th!

Sophie, Jo and Chloe

Ronnie and Lucy

Lucy, Maddie, Elsie, Nathaniel and Eli

The whole crew! (waving)

My 4 were talking about how old they will be when the Coppedges return to the states - WOW does that make me feel old.

Praying for safety and a smooth transition in Scotland!

Extended Family

This past week we had some family time!

Sophie and Chloe Coppedge

Uncle Jay, Terra and Maddie

Putt putt - Ron got the boys group!

Tonya and I had the girls

What a crew

Then on Saturday we all helped my Grandma Donna (mom's mom) celebrate her 90th Birthday!  It was a good turn out with all 6 of her children and 10 of the 17 grand kids - and many more great grandkids!

From there we stopped and visited my Dad's parents, Granny and Gramps.
Jay and Granny

Elsie and Aunt Jo

 Ron, Billy and Gramps

I'm hoping to get more of the family pictures, but we also took some time to get a few shots while we were all together!  Not bad for 18 people :)

Grandparents

We spent the 4th with my parents in Indiana!
We had a fun day, beginning with a steak dinner and then we went and played 18 holes of Frisbee golf in a "new to us" course in Marion.  It was a really neat course, unfortunately it isn't kept up well, but we still had fun!

Then out to Culver's (a first for us) and then back to their house for some baseball!

We had a great time!  A packed fun day!
Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun day!

Visit with Grandma

This week I had the opportunity to go visit my Grandma Hornish.  She is in a nursing home facility in Indiana.  I hadn't seen her in way too long and so Maddie and I joined my parents in a trip to visit!

Grandma has always been the strongest Christian I know.  She has spent many hours praying for me, for my siblings for our family.  She has spent many many hours in her devotion to the Lord!

Now she has spent several years without Grandpa and she is tired!  She's ready to go to her final home - yet she plugs along!

I pray that I will be able to accomplish so many things for the Lord when I am her age!  I'm so thankful for examples in my life (and my children's lives) who love Jesus with their whole heart!

Motorcycle Ride

Today Maddie had her first Motorcycle Ride!  Gene and Edna (who attend our Ney church) wanted to do something special for her, but weren't sure if she would like it.  She has been talking non-stop about today since we asked her on Sunday!  She's been praying that it wouldn't rain too! :)

So finally today came!

She was super excited as she climbed up!

You can't really tell behind the helmet, but she was grinning pretty big!

She loved it!  They went around the block, then Gene also took the boys, but then Maddie got a second ride.  She thought it was so much fun!

Maddie round 2!

Now she's asking, "When can we do it again?"
