Missionaries

This weekend we had the opportunity of having the Jenkins Family!  They are missionaries in PNG.  Additionally, Erica and I roomed across the hall from each other in college.  We had seen each other since then, but it has been 7 or more years!  Too Long.

It was fun to have our children together too and watch them interact!

We went Saturday evening to watch the Bryan Fireworks!
The kids had a blast as we waited for the fireworks to start!

Erica - wish we had more time, but thankful for a chance to catch up a bit!

Maddie asked last night as I put her to bed, "Momma, when will we see the Jenkins again?"  Not sure exactly, but we are thankful to have met them and will work at getting together again soon!

Another Baseball Season

Another Baseball Season comes to an end!  This has been a rough one in that with 3 boys we had 2 teams!  And Daddy coached both - too much!  And yet it was a fun season!  This past week was tournament week and so it was a week FULL of baseball!

On Friday evening the Pee Wee team was still in the winner's bracket and had to play 2 games.  They didn't end up pulling it off, but they had fun and came away as the runner-up!

Elli receiving his trophy from Coach Daddy!

There were some challenges to the season, but overall these boys did well and had fun too!  Eli loves playing and really knows the game well, he is still at that age where his body needs to catch up to what his brain wants him to do, but he's got a great heart and personality!

Ron was blessed to have these 3 kids from our Farmer Church too!
Great kids!

Then on Saturday the Minor League team played in the Championship Game!
Ronnie and Nathaniel have been in the Championship Game (and Won) the last 4 years!  It was a hard fought game, but we came out on top!

Nathaniel

Ronnie

Eli - best bat boy in the league!

This group of young men is the absolute best group of kids that Ron has ever coached!  They are good kids and just have fun together!  They went 18-3 this season and really never got overly excited about the wins or losses - they just played ball! Then don't brag, they just play hard while they're on the field!

Ron called them his "old timers" team!  Fun kids to be around!

On the Minor team there were 3 boys plus our 3 who were from our Farmer Church!

The Adkins boys had another great baseball Season!

1-2-3-Go Fairview!

now we have 2 more weeks....All Stars!

11th Birthday Celebration

Ronnie is now 11 years old!  Crazy how old that makes me feel!  Wish they could stay young forever, well part of me wishes - the other part is so excited at the young man he is becoming!  He's a lot like his Daddy (more than just in looks).  He's a thinker and a reader and just an all around Awesome Man!
As he went to bed tonight I asked him if he had a good day.  A tired "yes" was his response!  It's been a long day, but a good one.

It began with day one of VBS!  Where all 4 kids had a great time.  This is Ronnie's last year to participate and he was excited that his friend Caleb could come too!

We took Caleb home afterwards too!
Then on to Ronnie's favorite restaurant, Cracker Barrel for lunch!

"our old timers"

Pap and Grandma came tonight to watch Eli play baseball and celebrate Ronnie too!  My kids are so blessed to have 2 amazing sets of Grandparents!  So blessed!
This face is priceless!  Ronnie was super excited about his gift from Daddy and I!

With his cake this year he asked me to surprise him.  This is his innitial look...

But the final look was Yummy and delicious!
Birthday Sundae Cake!  It turned out pretty good - he loved it!

Although it was a busy day, it was a fun day!

Ronnie Lee III, we are so excited to celebrate you and all you have done and we look forward to all you will accomplish in the future!  Keep your eyes focused on Jesus!
Happy Birthday Buddy!

D-A-D-D-Y

The word Daddy - it fills so many roles!  He's a hard worker, a coach, a Pastor, a  role model, a mentor!  He's DADDY and that's says SO much!
So thankful for Ron and the AMAZING Daddy he is!

Happy Father's Day!

 Happy Father's Day, Dad!
Thanks for all you do for the 3 of us and for our families!  Thanks for being not only a Great Dad, but a fun Pap too!  We all Love you!

Cousins

We have had a couple of opportunities to see our "Africa Cousins" as Maddie refers to them!  She gets so excited to see them too - can you imagine?  4 girls in one family, Maddie is in heaven!

Our whole family spent a couple of hours together on Easter at my grandparents!
4 Generations

Mom and Dad have had 10 Grand kids from 11 to 2 1/2!  Fun times

Then we were blessed to have the Coppedges spend a weekend with us.  8 kids in one house is a LOT, but we had a good time.

Eli and Elsie are just a couple of weeks apart!

Maddie and Lucy are only 3 weeks apart and so we celebrated their 5th birthday's together.  Grandma got them matching shirts and tiara's.

Maddie just couldn't contain herself with all the girls around (Chloe not pictured, she wasn't in the mood for a picture) :)

Then just a week ago they all came to watch the boys play a game!
Below Eli (bat boy) is entertaining while the team is out on the field :)  It was funny to see him go back to "bat boy mode" when the team came in.

We also spent Memorial Day at Mom and Dad's and so were together again.  Here Maddie enjoys some time with the older girls!

We have had fun catching up with the Coppedge Cousins (and their parents).  We don't see each other often enough, so when we do - we try to make up for lost time!
