It seems like it's been a while since I caught up on here! We are keeping busy. School is out, t-ball is half over, baseball is nearing the end of regular season (5 games in the next week and a half, Bible School is underway this week!
We are busy! But let me update a little!
Ron is back from Conference and deep into his PhD work. He has a couple of deadlines in the next few weeks. He has written papers due on the 19th and then an interview on either the 28th or 29th. He (and I) would appreciate your prayers for both of these things to go well! It is a little stressful right now, but we're hoping that by July we will get to celebrate our 12th anniversary that was last Sunday, the 10th! Our celebration included 2 services, a youth service and a nap in between. We did manage to look through our wedding album and the kids all enjoyed that :)
Ronnie is doing well. I have to share a story he told me recently. First let me tell you Ronnie is a thinker, much like his Daddy. He said to me, "Mom, I've been thinking. You know how I will be a Major League Baseball player one day? and you know how they play on Sundays? Well, I think I will just tell them that I can't play on Sunday because I have to go preach, but I'll be back for Mondays game. Maybe I can even preach to the team and then watch the game." Such a brilliant man! I hope that one day he can do just that! Preach to his team - whoever they are!
Nathaniel is well too! He's not so much the thinker, but is for sure ALL boy! He has worn a hole in his baseball pants, but it doesn't seem to be slowing him any. At his game last week he was so excited because he actually got a home run! (I didn't have the heart to tell him that the "little" boy whose head it went over, wasn't even on the team, but rather a sibling they grabbed to have enough players). He got a home run! And it was a bummer too, cause Daddy missed it!
Eli is...well he's Eli! So full of energy and yet so grown up sometimes! He has been a great helper at Bible School this week. His sister clings to him and he doesn't seem to mind. Although I think once or twice he tried to "loose" her. Eli is enjoying t-ball just as much as being Batter Boy! You may have noticed his bruise from his t-ball pictures(a few posts ago). It was a week before that when he tried to catch a ball (that Daddy hit) with his cheek. He has a pretty high pain tolerance, we are learning - which is good because he constantly seems to be doing something!
Maddie is still the princess around here. She brings plenty of drama at times and is a sweetheart at others...I guess that's more of the drama! She says she loves Bible School, but she seems to be very clingy during it! She is also enjoying her friends at the ball park! She takes her little basket and "sand toys" then plays in the dirt or rocks or whatever she can find!
So we are keeping busy! Me...well I am keeping the above in line! Helping with Bible School, continuing with 4 discipleship groups, and working on enjoying the summer before it slips away!
I hope your summer is going well too!
