Random Pics

I've been doing a horrible job of keeping up with the blog.
Here are some random picture in the last few weeks/month!

Maddie wanted a picture with Nathaniel
Can't tell they are siblings - can you??? HA!

Our potato crop was great this year - Maddie and Eli were showing off how big they were!

I'm not exactly sure what is going on here - He's hanging...
he was laughing - not sure who was involved here or why this happened - we didn't leave him there long!

Several weeks back we went to visit this beautiful lady on her 100th birthday!

 She and Maddie are buddies!

Really not sure what was going on here, but with those grins, it looks like trouble!
My Bookends!

While I'm not doing very well with the blog, I'll try to do better!

Honestly, no promises :)  I've been substitute teaching this school year and I've kept very busy.  Only 7 school days off in September, as of right now, I only have 11 off in October.  I think they are going to be keeping me busy!  I'm enjoying it too!

Impossible

Why is it that getting 4 kids to smile (and look good) at the same time is IMPOSSIBLE?
I can get smiles from some, frowns from others.  Half smiles, weird looks, crooked smiles or just pouts!  WHY????

Then there are those times when you have a beautiful little girl, who decides to stop smiling when the picture is being taken.

Or the handsome little man who gives you the "mom, I'm so not into this right now" look!

I'm beginning to think it's the photographer!
The kids are cute, I just can't capture it!

The Family

It's been a little while since I posted a picture of the family!
This was taken at Easter.
Except for the fact that we are all squinting in the sun, it's a pretty good looking crew!

1st Attempt

If you are a mom of multiple children you know how difficult it is to get a decent picture of all of them at the same time!  So, being the efficient mom that I am - I began my attempts early this year!  Here is my first take

We still need to "practice" and there will be plenty more attempts!

Surely by the time Christmas arrives I will have a good one of all 4!  It might help if I invested some time into photo shop! :)  But I'll have fun trying!

Random Pictures

I thought the below picture was just too cute.  It's one of those pictures that are sometimes hard to come by, but I just love when they all enjoy being around each other!

Ronnie took this picture below.  He thought it was "so cute" how Daddy took Maddie out to listen to the birds one morning.  Unfortunately, he opened the door, but then took the picture through the screen!
Ronnie and Nathaniel had a Variety Show at their school last week.
Ronnie's class did a little skit.  Ronnie was the narrator!
Nathaniel's class sang a song and did a dance to another!

Pictures of Kids

It took a little work, but we were finally ready to get some kid pictures!

Although it seems some are always ready for their close up!

Lots of attempts!
Good thing they are cute kids!

Family Picture - kind of

I usually try to get a family picture on Christmas and Easter, at least! Well I missed it this year! I think it had to do with all the busyness of the morning, but I didn't think of it until we were on our way home!

I did manage to get 4 kids all spiffy in their Easter best!

Aren't they cute!?!

Then Daddy came along to help me get some smiles!

5 out of 6 isn't bad!

I have to admit they looked pretty good Easter morning! Ronnie with his new suit and Eli still proud of his from Christmas time! Maddie allowed Daddy to pick out her dress and just looked adorable. I think Nathaniel felt a little left out without a suit, we might have to remedy that sometime! All in all they take cute pictures!

Then of course I had to sneak a few extras!

Maddie spotted these "lellow" flowers and had to have a closer look!

2 Dates and a Preacher

Yesterday I took Eli to get his 5 year pictures taken. It was a little rough knowing that after this he will have school pictures and no more trips with mom to get them taken - crazy, but it was hard in a way!

So Eli kept telling Ron, "Mom and I have a date". I realized Eli was pretty excited about this so I told him that we would need to take Maddie with us too. His response, "oh, 2 dates"! Gotta love that kid!

Here he is enjoying his Subway. After the pictures we stopped to see a parishioner in the nursing home, Eli's request, then we went to Subway for lunch! Eli did great and really tried to be the big man and take care of his 2 dates!

He was pretty excited to get his picture taken. He wanted to wear his new suit! The photographer asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and his response was, "a Preacher"!

When we got home and I relayed the conversation to Ron and he immediately said, "Eli, you should have taken a Bible with you!"

We proceeded to take some pictures at home.

The Preacher

"Jesus said"
"Repent!"

"Praise the Lord"

I'm so thankful for Eli and for his desire to be a Preacher!

My prayer is that Jesus will use Him in Big Ways to further His Kingdom!

Ministry

Last Sunday we, as a family, had an opportunity to minister to 2 new churches. Ron had been invited to speak at Sherwood UMC and Bethel Forder UMC. He wanted to share about our ministry with the Francis Asbury Society in Discipling future Pastors and also brought the morning message at both services.

The 3 boys also ministered. They sang and did the sign language to "How Great is Our God". They have done this a couple of times before in 6 different churches now. It is so amazing to me to think of them being a part of our ministry! They like to be a part and it is really special! I'm so glad they are willing and that the Lord has Blessed them with the abilities!

Of course with all 4 of them all spiffed up and looking so cute, I had to try to get some pictures!

this one might be a little forced

fake smiles and buggy eyes

you can tell they are tired of this!

wait...I think we got one!
Not bad for 4 adorable kids who are ready to share Jesus in Ministry!

I love my kids! and I LOVE that my kids love Jesus!

Random Pictures

There have been some random pictures lately that never made the blog!

This is what happens when we have too much time on our hands - no wonder the boys are constantly "at each other"! I honestly can't say if anyone got hurt during the taking of this picture - I don't remember!
