D-A-D-D-Y

The word Daddy - it fills so many roles!  He's a hard worker, a coach, a Pastor, a  role model, a mentor!  He's DADDY and that's says SO much!
So thankful for Ron and the AMAZING Daddy he is!

Double Digits and Double Celebration!

Today was a busy, fun filled day!
Ronnie's 10th!  We began the morning with 2 church services!

After a quick lunch we were off to an unknown location to celebrate Ronnie's 10th and a little Father's Day too!

Putt-Putt

and Go Karts - the first time for all 4!  Ronnie and Nathaniel were old enough to ride in their own.  Maddie went with me and Eli and Daddy teamed up!  It was a lot of fun.  I think the boys were a little nervous at first, but they did great and had a great time.  They are already talking about when we can do it again!

From there it was back home for Ronnie's Birthday meal -Biscuits and Gravy!  Then he opened some presents!
He was excited about this cross necklace.

Glasses from Maddie

and a whole bag of "gifts" from Eli!

It was a very LONG and Fun Day!  We all enjoyed ourselves!
Unfortunately, it probably wasn't too relaxing for the Dad!  I have to say, Ron is a wonderful Father to Ronnie, Nathaniel, Eli and Maddie.  I love watching him interact with all 4 of them in different ways.  Playing ball with the boys, snuggling with his little girl!  Even sacrificing his Sunday nap to make sure his 10 year old has a great birth-day!

Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday Ronnie!

It's that time of year

It's that time of year again when the grass needs mowed!  Ron has already mowed a couple of times.  He did it again on Saturday in the hopes that it would hold off until he gets home next weekend!

The Lord provided a riding mower for us this year and it has cut Ron's time down pretty significantly, not to mention his aching body :)

After Daddy was done on Saturday Eli asked to try it out!

He has a few years before he is ready to tackle this job on his own!

Next Nathaniel wanted to try it out.  Pretty sure that was a tighter fit for Daddy and if you could see his face, he took it pretty serious!

Then Ronnie, because around here it's "monkey see, monkey do".
He's learning the push mower too, so it won't be long before Daddy has some help!

Then the "little monkey" wanted a turn!
Let's just say it will be a LONG while before she will be getting keys to anything!

It turned into a parade around the yard - pretty sure our neighbors think we're crazy!

But it's that time of year and we're just Happy to be OUTSIDE!

Way Behind

I'm way behind in my posting!  Lots of pictures to add and blog posts mulling around in my head, but I'll start here.
It was a couple of weeks ago that the boys had their Spirit Week at school.  One of the days was not twin day, but jeans and hat day and they decided to go to school like this!  I was surprised and yet delighted.  They seem to be growing closer as they get older (not in all things, but they have discovered that they can team up on their little brother together too -but that's for a different post)

So I captured them together with their sporting their favorite team - the Indians!

Then they both had to show me their wind up.  They have started baseball practice and actually have their first game this Saturday (again, another post) and it appears as though they will both be doing some pitching.

Not together, but pitching none-the-less!

These next couple of pictures were taken a few weeks ago as well. The date on the picture is off for some reason, but it was the Saturday morning after Daddy came home from Wilmore.  He decided to fix breakfast for everyone and nobody wanted to leave his side!

I'll get caught up on here eventually, I hope!

Anxious

Everyone is anxious for a little "Daddy wrestling".  It's been a  long week and the kids are missing him!

Whether it's one on one or every man (or child) for himself.  Daddy makes it fun!

Share Her Hair

This little gal would share absolutely anything with her Daddy!  She adores him, and the feeling is pretty mutual on his part!  They are 2 of a kind!

She thought it was pretty funny that she could share her hair!

Ron's home

Ron is Home!
We are so thankful.
We have been non-stop since he got here though.
We are hosting Missionaries this weekend which made for a busy day yesterday and another one today!

So thankful to have Daddy back home!

Missing Daddy

I should have posted these earlier this week so that Ron would have them to look at!  I took them last weekend as we were trying not to think about Daddy leaving!

It never fails, get more than one person and the chances of everyone looking serious goes out the window!

Then when you put Ronnie in the picture, it is impossible!

Below Ron is trying to teach Eli solitaire!  Not sure why, but all three boys decided to play last weekend.  You can see the other 2 in the background.  Maddie is picking it up too!

So we're missing Daddy and anxious for him to be home with us!

Twins

Last weekend, Maddie knew her Daddy was getting ready to leave for Wilmore.  So she was staying pretty close.  They even dressed like twins.  Buckeye Shirts, Jeans and white socks with gray toes!
She loved it!

Snow Delay

This morning we had a delay!
My boys are not sleepers, at least not when you want or expect them too :)

They were our shoveling with Daddy bright and early this morning.

We got several inches (Plus what the snowplow piled up) so Daddy was very grateful for the help!

Me...well I stayed out long enough to get this picture, then got the water warm for hot chocolate and snuggled with Maddie!

Never Wanted to Hear

Last week Ron heard words come out of his little girls mouth that he never dreamed he would hear!  Let me explain!

Ron overheard a conversation between Maddie and Ronnie.
The two of them were playing and evidently got tired of what they were doing.

Ronnie says, "what are we going to do now?".

Maddie's response, "You can look at my tattoo, if you want!"

Yep, Tattoo!  That's what she said.  That's what Ron heard.

Maddie had been given a Cinderella tattoo from one of the little girls we babysit with her Valentine card, so she was very proud to show it off to her big brother.

Daddy... well he wasn't nearly as impressed.

Curve Ball

It seems like every time Ron is away, there is some kind of curve ball!  Either with the van or with sickness in the kids - something always seems to be crazy while he was gone.

This week was no exception.  Wednesday evening, I was getting Maddie's PJ's on and noticed a hive-like rash on the back of her neck and a little on her back.  When she woke on Thursday she was covered, but it was more of a rash then.  She was miserable, itchy and just a mess.  I checked the boys (who were clear) and got them to school, before getting Maddie in to the doctor.

As it turns out she is more than likely having an allergic reaction, but we have no idea to what! (absolutely no other symptoms, not strep, no apparent virus)  Nothing is new.  No new foods, no new detergent, or lotion or shampoo!  Everything is our same old routine.  The only possibility I could come up with is something to do with a Clementine she ate Wed. evening.  It was a new bag and she is the only one who has had one.  Perhaps something there.  She has eaten Clementine before, actually loves them, but "perhaps" this time she reacted.  (Doctor says its possible).

She is slowly improving, but still looks like she has chicken pox.  She was in tears loudly crying, pretty much just miserable, yesterday as we drove home from our appointment and the pharmacy - Daddy called and wanted to talk to her, she immediately calmed down and relaxed.  She loves her Daddy and he can right any situation!  We're missing him.  Hopefully by the time he returns on Saturday we'll be back to normal around here.

Missing Daddy

Last Friday, as we were heading into the weekend, the kids knew that Daddy would be gone next week at Wilmore.  That made them not want to leave his side.

This little girl is especially missing her Daddy today!  She has not been feeling well the last couple of days, she's fighting a fever and just wants to snuggle Daddy!

We're all missing him, but trusting that the Lord will bring him home to us soon - and we're counting down to Saturday!

Picture for Daddy

This morning we took a picture, "Just for Daddy", cause we're missing him!

Daddy

There are a lot of jobs as a parent that go unnoticed!  Many that are seemingly forgotten, but there is one guy in our house that goes above and beyond when it comes to his children and family!

Daddy is busy.  He's a pastor of 2 churches (that's enough, right?).  Then he is working toward his PhD (plenty again, on it's own).  But he is also a fabulous Daddy.  He makes time to be the coach of not only pee wee, but t-ball too.  He has time to throw the ball or play a quick game in the yard.  He finds the time for some wrestling or tickling in the living room.  He has the time to explain something Ronnie is reading, or show Nathaniel how to accomplish a task.  He has time to listen to Eli's joke or snuggle his Princess in the morning!  Daddy always finds more time!

This job of parenting is busy and at times very hard, but I am so blessed to have my partner by my side to tackle it together!  Happy Father's Day Ron!  You are an amazing Father to our children and I am Blessed to have you by my side!  We all love you!

Phone Calls

We've been talking to Daddy a lot this week...unfortunately it's been like this!

He got off as soon as I went to take his picture...he plays on the phone more than anything else!

We're all missing Daddy!
