NINE

It really doesn't seem possible.  Can I really have a nine year old?

Today Ronnie Lee II turns 9!  I remember so much about the day he was born.  It was a rather traumatic birth for both myself and him.  We were living in Mississippi and Ronnie was our firstborn.  My due date was a week past (the 8th) and I was ready to meet this little guy.  My doctor had schedule an induction and so we went in on the 15th (a Sunday evening).  They started the process and it was a very miserable night to say the least.  By morning my doctor came in and broke my water, then checked me.

Let me just pause to say she was a horrible doctor, but at the time I had no idea.  Ronnie was my first baby and I trusted her to help us meet him in a safe and healthy way.  Praise the Lord he brought Ronnie into this world!

After my doctor broke my water, she discovered Ronnie was breech.  I was sent for an emergency c-section and that is how Ronnie arrived at 10:40am on June 16, 2003.  He was screaming right away, which was nice for this momma to hear after the scare of a section on my first!  I remember thinking right away, "he's mine".

And now 9 years later...Ronnie is a very smart, handsome little man.  He is so much like his Daddy in so many ways!  He loves to read, loves to think, loves sports and just loves life.  He's a hard worker and he knows how to have fun.  He is shy and cautious many times.  He's a little man who has made a big decision for Jesus and tries everyday to honor Him.

He is still growing and learning and developing and has so many more things to learn and do, but he's 9 today!  WOW!!

"Jesus, thank you so much for Ronnie Lee.  Thank you that you have sought Him and that he has made a decision for you.  Please guide him in the year to come. Draw him deeper into your presence and give Him boldness for you.  Give his Daddy and I wisdom as we guide and instruct him in all things, but especially in his walk with You.  Thank you so much for the gift you gave us of Ronnie Lee III!"

Happy Birthday Ronnie! We hope you enjoy your 9th Birthday!
(birthday festivities and pictures will be coming)
