Last Saturday Daddy and "crew" began work on the garden! They had all been looking forward to getting the garden planted and Saturday morning was the perfect day.
They planted potatoes.
Everyone had a specific job.
Then they made rows for green beans.
There was a little break to pose!
Then, as we were quickly running out of time (baseball was calling) we hurried up and planted the Sunflowers. Daddy had gotten sunflowers that will grow bigger than he is and all 4 kids were ready to get them planted.
They lined up and took turns dropping seeds into the holes.
Maddie was especially excited as she planted her sunflower seeds!
We wrapped it up for Saturday, but on Tuesday morning...Eli, Daddy and I were able to finish planting and got onions, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers and cantaloupe planted. We also got the fence up. We have a neighborhood full of cats and rabbits. We're hoping we can keep them away, time will tell!
So it is planted and now we wait!
